If you found your way to our little web-world, then you probably already know all about who The CO-OPerative Marketing NETwork is, and why we exist. But, just in case you don't know everything, I will start from the top.
My name is David Meintrup, and I have been in business since I was 10 years old. Even though cutting other peoples lawns isn't much of a business, I looked at it as a real enterprise. I sold my services door-to-door, kept records, and even competed against my best friend, Tommy, who was my only real competition in the neighborhood. I was, however, limited in business knowledge, marketing expertise, transportation and, of course, the capital to expand.
Over the last forty years I have actually held numerous "real" jobs -as my mother would say-while always working on one new entrepreneurial adventure / invention or another. Since 1977 my primary source of income has come from my systems integration work under the auspices of Small Business Systems. I started SBS as a computer consultant when microcomputers were first coming on the scene. I then moved into turnkey system sales and database software development in 1982. During those 20+ years I had dozens of additional successful and unsuccessful ventures, inventions, and new ideas come and go.
It seems that I have always had the ambition and creative drive to design, develop, and market my own products and services. I've learned that it all comes down to the same basic elements: Can you afford to sustain yourself, while still finding the time to grow the business slowly until you have enough of an operation to support a crew of workers to administer your business practices and salespeople to bring in new business --while at the same time maintain a positive cash flow from current operations? From that point, hopefully you can replicate your business model, on what you know works, growing beyond a few people and you local community.
This is what I call going from Stage 1 to Stage 2. And this, in essence, is what The CO-OPerative Marketing NETwork is all about. We hope to use a cooperative marketing approach to help a number of small business enterprises grow from a few people, or even a virtual company, to a few hundred, or even a few thousand.
WE the People…of this CO-OP plan to pool our considerable talents and resources to help each other, grow our businesses…beyond the boundaries of our individual capital and human resources. I once heard that a married couple, working together on a business, were equivalent to any 7 employees. I believe that it is because of COMMUNICATIONS and DEDICATION to a common set of goals, that this is a reality. How much more so then is a group of 10 or 50 or 100 entrepreneurs, working from a common script of goals and gameplans…to build something truly unique and beneficial to all involved.
In the subsequent pages, of this WEBsite, I hope you will either find a business product or service that you can use…or a vision for how YOUR business might fit into our CO-OPerative Marketing Network.
Thanks for visiting us…and please come again soon, since we are always changing and evolving!

WHO?
...We are a Marketing Consulting and Venture Partner Management firm. We've been in the computer hardware and software development business since 1977, in St. Louis, Missouri. We have been involved in EFTS and ATM projects as well as developing software and training materials for Financial Service Data Centers. We have designed and built new products for the agricultural market, the automotive after-market, the alternative energy field, the PC and printer field, the electronic publishing marketplace, and numerous vertical market software products
WHAT?
...The purpose of the CO-OPerative Marketing Network is to find PEOPLE…and resources, for the further development and marketing of promising new product ideas and inventions. We particularly like products and ideas that involve services and a network of dealers or sales representatives.
We act as the original developer's AGENT in establishing the relationships and marketing agreements with various sales and marketing organizations. We are creative; "outside-the-box" analyst's that can FIND new markets for products and services looking to expand into other markets. We are able to use our broad-based knowledge of e-marketing, systems technology and new product development to create dynamic links to hundreds of resellers and agents, around the country or around the world, depending on the needs of the situation.
HOW?
...With 20 years of experience in creating, cultivating, and coordinating new products and services…primarily through networking and establishing joint venture arrangements, we can very quickly build a professional and successful game plan or strategy to bring almost any good product or idea to fruition.
We can build a virtual company in a matter of days and nave a new idea off the drawing board and into the hands of key decision-makers in weeks not months or years.
HOW MUCH?
...We charge a flat fee for our assistance, based on the services required and the estimated time we believe will be invested before a viable marketing alliance can be established and new revenues are forthcoming.
From this point we receive a small percentage on all future sales derived from OUR work and the new revenue streams generated. This is the source of the major portion of our revenues. The initial fees are there to cover our up front expenses until the project can be launched and earning profits on its own.
Usually the marketing consulting fees range from $1,000 to $5,000…and the royalty commissions rates are from 5% to 15%…depending on the risk factors, the market, and the profitability picture of the new product or service.
